Step back in time at Wellsboro, PAs 42nd Annual "Dickens of a Christmas Festival!" Main Street transforms into a Victorian-era marketplace with around 125 food and craft vendors, plus costumed performers, musicians, and street entertainers. Enjoy holiday shopping, delicious treats, and performances from carolers, dancers, and actorswatch for Scrooge or the little match girl! With streets closed to traffic, visitors can freely stroll through this charming holiday scene, and local churches will host luncheons, concerts, and tours.
Historic Downtown Wellsboro sets the stage for the annual performance of the beloved holiday classic, "A Christmas Carol." This Victorian-themed production brings to life the timeless tale of Ebenezer Scrooge, a miserly old man who, through a journey into his past, present, and future, rediscovers the true meaning of Christmas and transforms his life.
Visit the Purity Candy Company Factory Store, founded in 1907 by Ford G. Birchard. Using natural ingredients, simple machines, and carefully crafted recipes, he built Puritys reputation for quality by making small batches by hand. Today, the Burfeindt family carries on this tradition. From chocolate Christmas trees to handmade candy canes and hard candy curls, there's something for everyone on your list. Each piece is crafted using time-honored techniques passed down from master confectioners over the past century.
Housed in a historic woolen mill, the famous Street of Shops features 375 unique stores set along a charming indoor streetscape. Complete with a recreated antique bank teller window, park benches, and vintage streetlights, it captures the nostalgic feel of an old town marketplace.

Dinner will be served buffet-style and features carved prime rib with fish and seafood selections, a variety of steamed and sauteed vegetables, starches, salad, and soup. A holiday dessert table is also included, along with iced tea, coffee, tea, and water.
Lunch will be served buffet-style and features fried chicken, baked chicken, chicken wings, meatloaf with gravy, beef tacos, chicken biscuit pie, fried fish, spaghetti with pasta sauce, pizza, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, rice pilaf, baked beans, stuffing, red potatoes, sweet corn, green beans, glazed carrots, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, broccoli with cheese sauce, chicken gravy, chicken noodle soup, cream of broccoli soup, French onion soup, and beef pot roast. The buffet also includes a garden salad with assorted toppers, freshly prepared salads such as Caesar, cucumber, macaroni, potato, pasta, and coleslaw, as well as a fresh selection of breads including banana nut bread and dinner rolls. Desserts are included, along with soft drinks, coffee, and tea.
