Enjoy free time to explore Bar Harbor village, the largest community on Mount Desert Island, with some of Maine and New England's best restaurants, each offering its own one-of-a-kind experience. Take home one-of-a-kind treasures from charming, locally owned stores.

 

On own options include a walk on the famous "Shore Path", a visit to the Abbe Museum, a Smithsonian affiliate. The history and cultures of the Native people in Maine, the Wabanaki, are showcased here.

 

Acadia National Park

Acadia National Park preserves the spectacular natural beauty of part of Maine's Coast, its coastal mountains and its offshore island. The tour through Acadia explores Sieur de Monts Springs, Thunder Hole, Otter Cliffs, and a drive to the top of Cadillac Mountain (weather permitting), the highest point on the eastern seaboard.

 

The guide will point out the historic sites and mansions on the way into Acadia National Park. The tour will make four 30-minute stops for walks and photos to include Cadillac Mountain, Thunder Hole, Jordan Pond Area, and the Sieur d'Monts Spring area, the location of the Nature Center and Wild Gardens of Acadia.

 

Camden Hills State Park and Mt. Battie

One of Maine's 26 state parks, Camden Hills' dominant feature is Mt. Battie and the spectacular views provided from the top. This picture stop provides you with a panoramic view of Maine's largest bay, Penobscot Bay, the wooded hillsides, and Camden Harbor.

 

Portland's Old Port

Nestled along the picturesque Casco Bay, this iconic neighborhood is a captivating blend of the past and the present, offering an array of experiences that will enchant visitors of all interests. Walk cobblestone streets lined with beautifully preserved 19th-century warehouses that have been lovingly repurposed into boutique shops, art galleries, and restaurants. The Old Port's history is alive in its architecture and stories!

 

Harbor Lights and Sights Boat Cruise

Enjoy this narrated cruise to see all that beautiful Casco Bay has to offer. This unique opportunity offers guests the ability to experience the iconic lighthouses and sights of Portland Harbor and the picturesque waterway known as Diamond Pass. Our cruise first explores the bustling inner harbor and main shipping channel to get close up views of Civil War era fortifications and the lighthouses that have guided mariners into Portland Harbor for over a century - including a close-up view of Maine's oldest and most photographed lighthouse, Portland Head Light!

 

As we weave our way among the islands, we enter Diamond Pass long considered to be the "gateway to the Calendar Islands". Cruise past the villages and Victorian cottages on the islands and get a glimpse into island life.
