St. John, New Brunswick Sightseeing Tour

Enjoy a guided tour of Saint John, New Brunswick, the oldest incorporated city in Canada. Your tour will include the historic uptown area including the Loyalist Burial ground and the City Market. The oldest continually operating market in Canada is the perfect chance to buy souvenirs and perhaps try a local delicacy such as dulce. Travel along tree lined streets and learn how this vibrant city had to recover from a devastating fire that nearly destroyed the entire city in the late 1800s.

Near the entrance to the harbour stands an iron lamp known as "The Three Sisters"; it has guided mariners into the harbour since 1848. Enjoy several photo opportunities including Fort Howe, overlooking the uptown core. Learn about the Loyalist's that arrived looking for a new home in the new world. And no tour in Saint John would be complete without a visit to Reversing Falls. Learn more about the phenomena of the tides of the Bay of Fundy.

Ferry Crossing from St. John to Digby, NS

Enjoy a scenic one-way ferry crossing from St. John, NB to Digby, NS aboard the MV Fundy Rose. Relax in the main lounge where you can catch the daily featured movie presentation. If you are an outdoor enthusiast then feel free to stroll the decks, feel the wind in your face and search the bay for a sighting of the endangered right whale or other sea life. The MV Fundy Rose offers the Mid Ship Cafe for a Starbucks and Light Fare, grab a drink at the Crow's Nest, or visit the Acadia Eatery, featuring a full daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu. The sailing is approximately 2 hours.

Lloyd Smith, "Town Crier"

Lloyd Smith, "Town Crier," will induct each passenger into "The Order of Good Cheer." This is a ceremony that began in 1605 and is sanctioned by the Province of Nova Scotia. Each visitor will be inducted and receive a certificate stating such. Fully Costumed, Lloyd will meet our group at the Old Orchard Inn at dinner time.

Grand-Pre National Historic Site

Grand-Pre National Historic Site is a park set aside to commemorate the Grand-Pre area of Nova Scotia as a centre of Acadian settlement from 1682 to 1755, and the deportation of the Acadians which began in 1755 and continued to 1762. A commemorative church houses exhibits, paintings, and stained glass windows. Outside the church is a Statue of Evangeline, the fictional heroine of Longfellow's famous poem.

Peggy's Cove

Located Southwest of Halifax, this tiny, picturesque village lies nestled in a snug harbor where lobster fishermen live and work. This area is surrounded by bold granite outcroppings where, during a storm, the sea dashes against the shoreline. One of the many lighthouses dotting the Lighthouse Route, extending southwest from Halifax to Yarmouth may be seen in this artist's haven. The Sou'Wester Restaurant and Gift Shop is also located at the world famous Peggy's Cove Lighthouse.

Halifax City Sightseeing Tour

Join a kilted local guide for an informative and fun-filled ride through the streets of Halifax which will immerse you in the history and culture of the city. Hear of Halifax's war years and of the exploits and heroism of the citizens who lived through the devastating Halifax Explosion. View historic properties, Province House, Old Town Clock, St. Paul's Church, City Hall, Grand Parade, Government House, the busy port, residential areas and much more.

Your outing will include a visit to the Titanic Gravesites at Fairview Lawn Cemetery to learn of the local connection to the Titanic, a picture stop from Citadel Hill, and a walk through the Victorian Public Gardens.
