Norman Rockwell Museum

Discover an American treasure at the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, the artist’s hometown. Explore the world’s largest collection of original Norman Rockwell art, showcasing the beloved illustrator’s iconic works. The museum offers a rotating selection of exhibits, providing fresh insights into Rockwell’s timeless artistry. Don't forget to visit the gift shop for unique keepsakes. Please note that photography is not allowed inside the galleries, and large bags or backpacks should be left outside to ensure a comfortable experience for all visitors.

 

The Mount Estate & Gardens

The Mount, designed and built by Edith Wharton, is a quintessential example of American Renaissance architecture, based on principles from her 1897 book, The Decoration of Houses. This classical revival estate, with its meticulously designed formal gardens, offers a rare glimpse into Wharton's architectural and landscape theories. As one of the few National Historic Landmarks dedicated to women, The Mount holds a special place in history. Guided tours explore its rich past, from construction to restoration, while delving into Wharton's life, achievements, and literary contributions. The house features three floors of beautifully preserved formal and private rooms, including Wharton's library, her restored bedroom suite, and the old kitchen.

 

Hancock Shaker Village

Discover Hancock Shaker Village, a registered National Landmark and the largest Shaker museum in the eastern United States. Opened as a living history museum in 1961, it features 20 historic buildings, extensive gardens, and an impressive collection of Shaker artifacts. The Round Stone Barn is a highlight, showcasing the Shakers' innovative spirit. The village also offers Shaker craft demonstrations, historic livestock breeds, and a restored 19th-century water system. Explore the Center for Shaker Studies, which includes two exhibition galleries, one dedicated to Shaker gift drawings. An on-site café provides a convenient spot to relax and enjoy your visit.

Dinner on day one is included at The Red Lion Inn. Choices are:

• Chicken Pot Pie: carrots, parsnips, peas, puff pastry

• Jack's Pot Roast:topped with beef demi-glace, served with a starch and vegetable (gluten free)

• Roasted Haddock:topped with lemon caper sauce, served with a starch and vegetable

• Season's Bounty: a vegetarian entree offering of seasonal produce (gluten free)

Dinner is served with a mixed greens salad with champagne vinaigrette, rolls & butter, along with a warm fruit crisp for dessert. Coffee and tea are included; all other beverages may be purchased individually.

 

Lunch on day two is included at The Mount.

Lunch will be served buffet-style and features a mixed greens salad, potato chips, turkey club wraps (with chipotle mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato and bacon), ham & brie wraps (with basil pesto, argula, and tomato on marble rye) and hummus vegetable wraps, along with a fresh-baked cookie for dessert. Iced tea, lemonade, and water included; wine, beer, and sodas are available for purchase.

 

Dinner on day two is included at Barrington Brewery. Choices are (order when seated):

• Smoked Salmon Salad: mixed greens, smoked salmon, red onion, bacon, capers, fresh dill, hard boiled egg, choice of dressing

• Chicken Caesar Salad: romaine lettuce, grilled chicken, parmesan, croutons, house Caesar dressing

• Cobb Salad: mixed greens, grilled chicken, blue cheese crumbles, avocado, bacon, tomato, hardboiled egg

• Beer Battered Fish & Chips: fresh beer battered cod, served with coleslaw and fries

• BBQ Ribs: half rack of ribs, served with cornbread, mac & cheese and coleslaw

• BBQ Beef Brisket: served with cornbread, mac & cheese and coleslaw

• Eggplant Rollatini (Vegetarian): thinly-sliced breaded eggplant, sweet roasted red peppers, provolone cheese, marinara sauce

• Chicken Parmesan: served with linguini

• Meatloaf: chef’s meatloaf with gravy, served with mashed potatoes and corn

Dinner is served with a choice of cheddar ale soup or soup of the day, and dessert. Soft drinks, coffee, and tea included.

 

Lunch on day three is included at The Hancock Shaker Village. Boxed Lunch choices are:

• The Berkshire: roast beef, melted cheddar, shaved red onion, green leaf lettuce, with horseradish dijon mustard

• The Roost: slow-roasted chicken salad, green leaf lettuce, tomato in a wrap

• Tuna Wrap: albacore tuna salad with green leaf lettuce and tomato in a wrap

• Mama Mia: toasted arugula, basil aioli, and balsamic glaze, on toasted artisan bread

All lunches include a bottle of water, chips, a piece of fruit, and dessert. Any choice can be made gluten free or dairy free upon request.
