Starrs motorcoach does not travel on the ferry to Block Island. Guests should bring all personal belongings with them, as they will not have access to the motorcoach during their time on the island.

National Hotel: There are 15 steps leading up to the hotel lobby. Tour guests can access the lobby without using steps by walking around to the back of the hotel.
It is crucial to request a first-floor room at the time of booking, as there are at least 15 steps to the first floor. Guests with walking disabilities may find this challenging and the hotel does not have an elevator.
Block Island Ferry: The ferry has about 12 steps from the freight deck to the passenger levels that guests have to navigate.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the National Hotel offers a blend of modern conveniences and nostalgic grace. This three-story Victorian inn, located in Block Island's historic village across from a sandy beach, has been carefully renovated to preserve its charm. The room configurations vary, reflecting the hotel's historic nature, and each room is uniquely decorated to create a relaxing and elegant Victorian ambiance. Amenities include television, hair dryer, and private bath. The hotel's full-service restaurant, the Tap and Grille, provides delightful dining options. The inn is completely non-smoking.
Please note: There is no elevator at this historic 3-story inn; there are 16 steps between room floors. There are 15 steps leading up to the hotel lobby; guests may walk around to the back of the hotel to avoid steps to enter the lobby area.
