On our Brooklyn Chocolate Tour, you'll visit four of the finest traditional and artisanal chocolatiers in the borough!
The adventure begins in Manhattans Chinatown, crossing the Manhattan Bridge into Brooklyns DUMBO neighborhood. Our first stop is the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory, where youll enjoy a scoop of their award-winning chocolate ice cream while owner Mark Thompson shares insights into his ice cream-making process.
Next, we visit The Chocolate Room in Cobble Hill, where owners Jon and Naomi will treat you to their famous mini chocolate cupcakes and Belgian hot chocolate, all while sharing the story of their beloved shop.
Our third stop takes us to Raaka Chocolates in Red Hook. Raaka, meaning raw in Finnish, skips the roasting process to create unique chocolates using natural flavor profiles. Youll enjoy unlimited samples of their imaginative creations, such as Pink Sea Salt, Earl Grey, Coconut Milk, Ghost Pepper, and more.
Finally, well visit Li-Lac Chocolates in Sunset Parks Industry City, New Yorks oldest chocolate maker. Youll sample three of their delightful varieties, which typically includes butter crunch, sea salt caramel, and almond bark.
Throughout the tour, well dive into Brooklyns rich chocolate history, explore the bean-to-bar process, and witness chocolate-making demonstrations. Plus, youll have the chance to purchase chocolates at each stop and you'll take home a commemorative fridge magnet to remember the experience!
