Nice City Tour

Learn about this elegant and simple city with year round charm due to its exceptional climate. Visit the beautiful Notre Dame Church, built between 1864-1868, and the largest church in Nice. Then visit the Nice Flower Market where for over a century the open square has been a flower market, but the area has served as a marketplace since the time of the Romans.

 

Nice Flower Market

Located in the heart of Old Nice, the historic Marché aux Fleurs Cours Saleya is a sensory feast, offering vibrant, fragrant blooms Tuesday through Sunday mornings. As one of France's premier markets, this colorful, bustling hub features local horticulturalists, artisanal products, and nearby cafes, making it a quintessentially Mediterranean must-see.

 

Notre Dame Church

The Basilica of Notre-Dame de Nice is a stunning 19th-century Neo-Gothic church located on the bustling Avenue Jean Médecin in Nice, France. As the city's largest church, it was designed by Louis Lenormand, inspired by Angers Cathedral, and features two 31-meter towers and a massive rose window.

 

St. Paul-de-Vence

A medieval, walled hilltop pedestrian village made up of cobbled corridors and lanes. Artists Picasso, Matisse & Chagall among others all lived here for periods of time to capture its beauty.

 

Eze Visit

Èze is a breathtaking, 14th-century medieval village perched high on a rocky hilltop above the Mediterranean Sea in the French Riviera. Known for its stunning panoramic sea views, narrow winding streets, and exotic garden, it is a premier "must-visit" destination near Nice and Monaco, offering a blend of history and luxury.

 

Fragonard Perfumery

Founded in 1926 in Grasse, France, Maison Fragonard is a historic, family-run perfumery blending Provençal tradition with luxury. Named after painter Jean-Honoré Fragonard, the house produces high-quality perfumes, cosmetics, and home goods, often featuring floral and Mediterranean notes. They are renowned for their traditional manufacturing methods and factory tours.

 

Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat

Referred to as the crown jewel of the French Riviera. This charming, luxurious peninsula is known for its stunning beauty and high-end real estate. Monte Carlo Area Tour

The most famous district of Monaco is Monte Carlo, the site of the wellknown casino and a glittering center of international social life. Upon arrival enjoy a Monte Carlo Area Tour including the 19thcentury Romanesque Cathedral, the site of Princess Grace’s Tomb. Complete your tour with a visit to the famous Casino Monte Carlo.

 

Casino Monte Carlo

Casino and entertainment complex that was built in 1878 by Charles III, Prince of Monaco. Designed by Charles Garnier, architect of the Paris Opéra, the building is lavishly and ornately decorated in the opulent Belle Époque style and stands in formal gardens with a sweeping view over the tiny principality of Monaco.

 

Monte Carlo Cathedral

The Cathedral of Our Lady Immaculate, also known as Saint Nicholas Cathedral, is a Roman-Byzantine-style church in Monaco-Ville built between 1875 and 1903 on the site of a 13th-century church. It is the final resting place of Monegasque royalty, including Prince Rainier III and Princess Grace. Key features include white stone construction, a 4,840-pipe organ, and historic art by Louis Brea.

 

Aix-en-Provence

A quintessentially elegant city in southern France, renowned as the former capital of Provence. Known for its 17th and 18th-century architecture, vibrant markets, and numerous fountains, it offers a sophisticated yet relaxed "art de vivre". Visitors can enjoy tree-lined boulevards like the Cours Mirabeau, explore art, and experience famous local cuisine.

 

Paul Cezanne’s Studio

Located on the Lauves hill in Aix-en-Provence, the Atelier Paul Cézanne is a preserved, intimate sanctuary where the artist worked daily from 1902 until his death in 1906. It remains filled with his personal items, including his final still-life models, furniture, and clothes, offering a glimpse into his quiet, focused life.

 

Cannes

Famous for its glamorous Cannes Film Festival, prestigious hills reminiscent of Beverly Hills, luxury shopping and beautiful beaches. Enjoy time to wander, shop and enjoy lunch on your own along the iconic Croisette Promenade.

 

Antibes

Explore this Old Town with a local guide on your Antibes Walking Tour to see its ancient ramparts, cobbled lanes, and learn about the history of this picturesque, fortified town with maritime traditions.

Need to Know:

  • This tour is active, requiring participants to be in good physical shape and good health to fully enjoy the experiences. This trip is not appropriate for those requiring a walker, wheelchair, scooter, or need walking assistance. Sightseeing locations and activities may require longer periods of walking, standing or sitting. Some locations may involve climbing stairs, have uneven or unpaved ground, have cobblestone streets, or located at higher altitudes. You may need to manage your own luggage if luggage handling is not available. Premier World Discovery/Starr is not responsible for any missed activities due to a participant's inability to participate with the group.

  • Adapters and Converters in Europe: Please remember to bring a European adapter for your electronic devices. In Europe, the standard voltage is 230 V, and the frequency is 50 Hz, with power plugs and sockets of type C, E, and F. Since the plug shape used in Europe is different from most other regions, your standard plugs won’t fit directly into European wall sockets, so you’ll need a special adapter to bridge the gap.

  • Includes deluxe round-trip motorcoach transportation from one or more of our departure locations to the airport.

  • Services of a Tour Director will begin upon arrival in Nice.

Deposit/Payment Policy:

  • Deposit is $625.00 per person.

  • Final payment is due by 7/2/2027

Cancellation Penalties:

  • If cancellation occurs from booking date to 4/23/2027, a $25.00 per person penalty will be assessed.

  • If cancellation occurs between 4/24/2027 and 7/2/2027, a $625.00 per person penalty will be assessed.

  • If cancellation occurs between 7/3/2027 and 7/20/2027, a $2,100.00* per person penalty will be assessed.

  • If cancellation occurs between 7/21/2027 and 10/20/2027, the passenger is in full penalty and no refund will be granted.

*In addition to the cancellation polices listed above, if additional payments have been made to Starr for the purpose of securing your airline reservation, these monies are non-refundable once received. Any name changes after final payment is made will be assessed a per person change fee. The amount of the fee will be determined by the airline.

Day 1

Board your overnight flight to Nice, France.

Day 2

Arrive in Nice, France and meet your Tour Director before transferring to your hotel to begin a 7-Night stay at one hotel in Nice, the famous city in the French Riviera. Nice is the fourth largest city in France, and a popular destination for vacationers both young and old with something to offer everyone. It is well known for the beautiful views on the Promenade des Anglais, its famous waterfront. Enjoy a Welcome Dinner this evening with your fellow travelers.

Day 3

Today enjoy a Nice City Tour to learn about this elegant and simple city with year round charm due to its exceptional climate. Visit the beautiful Notre Dame Church, built between 1864-1868, and the largest church in Nice. Then visit the Nice Flower Market where for over a century the open square has been a flower market, but the area has served as a marketplace since the time of the Romans.This afternoon a short ride takes you to visit St. Paul-de-Vence, a medieval, walled hilltop pedestrian village made up of cobbled corridors and lanes. Artists Picasso, Matisse & Chagall among others all lived here for periods of time to capture its beauty.

Day 4

Today travel to Aix-en-Provence, the city of art and light. During your Aix-en-Provence Tour explore this small, classically Provençal town, famous for being home
to Cézanne & recently for its great shopping. Aix is ancient, the area was a Celtic-Ligurian capital dating to the 3rd century BC.The tour features a visit to the Paul Cezanne Studio which has been preserved as it was when the artist died in 1906. During your leisure time in Aix maybe grab lunch & a coffee to relax and explore the shops and quaint streets. Just east of Aix, take a picture of Montagne Ste-Victoire, the mountain range which inspired many of Cezanne’s paintings, 87 in all. This afternoon enjoy the scenery as you drive back to Nice.

Day 5

Today visit nearby Eze, a medieval French village with excellent views of the Mediterranean coast. Learn the secrets of perfume making during a hands-on workshop and tour of the Fragonard Perfumery, where fragrant formulations have been prepared since 1782. Later spend time soaking up the atmosphere or exploring the craft shops of the Provençal hill town and medieval village of Éze. Explore the village’s timeless charm and the Exotic Garden of Éze. Then
head to Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, referred to as the crown jewel of the French Riviera. This charming, luxurious peninsula is known for its stunning beauty and high-end real estate. It’s a popular destination for the wealthy and famous, offering a blend of tranquility, beautiful beaches, and easy access to the excitement
of the Riviera. Return to Nice.

Day 6

Enjoy a day of leisure to shop, explore, relax or grab your book, a coffee & a French pastry at a local cafe. With its Riviera climate, even in the winter months the cafe terraces of Nice are filled with people happily drinking and contemplating in the famous Promenade des Anglais. If you want to visit another country during
your travels to France join our Optional Excursion into Italy. The optional travels by motorcoach to Ventimiglia, Italy to explore this quaint seaside town and wander the cobbled streets. Continue to San Remo, the capital town of the Italian Riviera to explore the old Medieval town called La Pigna, characterized by perched houses, steep streets, covered alleys, and little squares. Then return to Nice in the late afternoon.

Day 7

Today travel to the principality of Monaco, a tiny city-state on the Mediterranean Sea and surrounded by France. The most famous district of Monaco is Monte Carlo, the site of the wellknown casino and a glittering center of international social life. Upon arrival enjoy a Monte Carlo Area Tour including the 19thcentury Romanesque Cathedral, the site of Princess Grace’s Tomb. Complete your tour with a visit to the famous Casino Monte Carlo. This evening dinner is included in the Nice area.

Day 8

Begin the day with a visit to the seaside town of Antibes. Explore the Old Town with a local guide on your Antibes Walking Tour to see its ancient ramparts, cobbled lanes, and learn about the history of this picturesque, fortified town with maritime traditions. Visit the Picasso Museum and admire the artwork of Pablo Picasso and other world-class artists while in Antibes. Then take a short ride to visit Cannes, famous for its glamorous Cannes Film Festival, prestigious hills reminiscent of Beverly Hills, luxury shopping and beautiful beaches. Enjoy time to wander, shop and enjoy lunch on your own along the iconic Croisette Promenade. Later this afternoon return to your hotel in Nice. This evening join your fellow travelers for a Farewell Dinner at a local restaurant in the Nice area.

Day 9

Transfer to the airport for your flight home filled with wonderful memories of your travel experiences in France.
