En route to Sag Harbor, stop at Conscience Point, where a short walk takes you to the historic landing spot where 20 families from Lynn, Massachusetts, settled in June 1640, establishing Southampton, the oldest English settlement in New York State.
Upon arriving in Sag Harbor, founded in 1707, you will explore a port once central to foreign and coastal trade. Designated by President George Washington in 1789 as an official port of entry into the United States, Sag Harbor's illustrious history will be described as you view its immaculately restored neighborhoods and local treasures.
Next, cross the bridge into the Peninsula of North Haven and board the ferry to Shelter Island, an 8,000-acre enchanted enclave. The Nature Conservancy owns one-third of the island, preserving its vast forests, wetlands, and natural habitats. Hear about Shelter Island's history as we wind our way through this magical Island nestled between the North and South Forks.
Afterward, arrive in Greenport on the North Fork, once a bustling whaling port and the heart of Long Island's oyster industry. Today, it is a vibrant destination attracting visitors from around the world. Travel west along the North Fork Wine Trail. Journey through picturesque villages and past numerous vineyards that make this region a popular destination year-round.
Journey through historic Southampton Village, the oldest English settlement in New York State. As we traverse this charming area, youll hear about Southamptons rich history and see former farmlands now transformed into the estates of celebrated residents.
Stop at Cooper's Beach, voted one of America's best beaches. A stroll on Cooper's Beach offers a sublime experience and a glimpse into where Southampton Village residents unwind and enjoy a swim. The tour takes us down Billionaire's Row,takes us down Billionaire's Row, showcasing the most expensive homes in the Hamptons owned by some of the country's wealthiest people.
Next, we visit Southampton Village's vibrant shopping district. Here, you'll see iconic landmarks such as Hildreth's, America's oldest department store, along with the charming boutiques of Job's Lane and delightful eateries.

Experience a captivating time capsule of a bygone era. The Mansion Tour begins in the courtyard of the historic home, once owned by William K. Vanderbilt II. Discover Planting Fields, the former estate of insurance magnate William Robertson Coe and Mai Rogers Coe, one of Long Island's last remaining Gold Coast estates. Spanning 409 acres, this historic site preserves its original buildings and landscapes, offering visitors a glimpse into a bygone era. Rolling lawns, formal gardens, hiking trails and specimen plantings, as well as the Camellia Greenhouse and the Main Greenhouse, with its unique seasonal displays, are a treat for visitors year round.
Step inside Coe Hall, showcasing original Coe family furnishings and the restored Louis XVI Reception Room. The Tudor Revival mansion features Elizabethan-style interiors with exquisite wood and stone carvings, intricate ironwork, stunning stained glass windows, and original commissioned murals by American artists Robert H. Chanler and Everett Shinn.
