Visitors can admire its fine woodwork, furnishings, artwork, and stunning architectural features, making it one of the most significant early Gilded Age residences open to the public. Glenview also gained fame as a featured location in HBO's Emmy Awardwinning series "The Gilded Age," created by Julian Fellowes, the mind behind Downton Abbey.
Lyndhurst Mansion, perched above the Hudson River, is one of America's finest examples of Gothic Revival architecture, originally built in the 1830s for William Paulding, Mayor of New York City. Visitors can also explore the on-site gift shop and restrooms.
