A National Historic Landmark, the New York Botanical Garden maintains one of the world's greatest collections of flora. Its 250 acres include some of the most beautiful, natural terrain of any botanical garden in the world, including dramatic rock outcroppings, rolling hills, waterfalls and ponds, the Bronx River, and a 50-acre remnant of the forest that once covered New York City. Enjoy a tram tour which offers a relaxing and informative way to see much of this National Historic Landmark's beautiful natural terrain.

 

Holiday Train Show

The Holiday Train Show returns bigger than ever with more trains and an all-new, outdoor train display. Start on the lawn to capture your perfect holiday photos at the outdoor mountainscapes and then watch trains zip past nearly 200 iconic New York landmarks under the warmth of the Conservatory.

Accessibility:

Due to the nature of New York Botanical Gardens, a lot of walking is required. Tour Guests should wear comfortable shoes and warm clothing. The Garden, its buildings, and its tour vehicles are accessible to people with disabilities, with the exception of a few areas where the terrain is naturally uneven. Manual wheelchairs are available to borrow free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are not accepted and an ID must be left with Visitor Services for the loan.
