Cafe du Monde

The Original Cafe Du Monde is a traditional coffee shop. Its menu consists of dark roasted Coffee and Chicory, Beignets, White and Chocolate Milk, and fresh squeezed Orange Juice. The coffee is served Black or Au Lait. Au Lait means that it is mixed half and half with hot milk. Beignets are square French -style doughnuts, lavishly covered with powdered sugar.

 

Court of Two Sisters Dinner

The Court of Two Sisters is more than a restaurant – it’s a legend. Enjoy luscious Creole and Cajun cuisine. Pass through our Charm Gates. Make a wish in the Devil’s Wishing Well. And hear the story of Emma and Bertha, the two sisters who ran a notions shop here once upon a time in the French Quarter.

 

New Orleans School of Cooking

Welcome to the fun, food & folklore of the New Orleans School of Cooking! Since 1980, we have introduced countless visitors from around the world to the wonderful food and rich culture of New Orleans and Louisiana as a whole. Our entertaining cooking classes and Louisiana General Store are located in a renovated molasses warehouse built in the early 1800s in the heart of the French Quarter, 524 St. Louis Street.

Visit the Garden District featuring one of the best preserved collections of historic southern mansions in the United States. Also stop to view an Above Ground Cemetery which are both historic & hauntingly beautiful.

 

Mardi Gras World

Mardi Gras World is a year-round attraction dedicated to showcasing the history and craftsmanship of New Orleans’ proudest tradition. Visit our sprawling float den and take a tour of the behind-the-scenes work that makes Mardi Gras a reality. Mardi Gras is the lifeblood of New Orleans, and the artists, sculptors, carpenters, welders, and craftsmen of Kern Studios are the hidden force behind the Mardi Gras magic. Since 1984, Mardi Gras World has given the public a rare glimpse into the process behind the parades while also providing a fun, accessible look into the history of this unique celebration.

 

Garden District

The New Orleans Garden District is a historic, picturesque neighborhood known for its grand 19th-century mansions, sprawling live oaks, and lush, fragrant gardens. Established in the 1830s, this uptown area features remarkable Greek Revival architecture, the famed Lafayette Cemetery No. 1, and upscale shopping and dining along Magazine Street.

 

Baton Rouge

Travel to the capital of Louisiana, Baton Rouge. Stop at the New State Capitol Building to view the Art Deco architecture and hear stories about the state’s most famous politician, Huey Long. Jean Lafitte Cultural Center

Discover Cajun Country. visit the Jean Lafitte Cultural Center to learn about the life of the famous pirate and unlikely patriot, and about the area’s Acadian heritage and the natural resources of Louisiana’s Mississippi Delta region.

 

Tabasco Factory

Enjoy the Tabasco Factory Tour, home the world-famous Louisiana hot sauce. Tonight enjoy a fun-filled Farewell Dinner with Cajun cuisine and sounds.

 

Avery Island

The McIlhenny family has made TABASCO® Sauce on Avery Island, Louisiana for over 5 generations. Built on a salt dome, it's a mysteriously beautiful place where the red peppers grow, the factory hums, and abundant wildlife can be seen in Jungle Gardens.

 

 

 

Need to Know:

  • This is a trip for those who are physically fit and in good health. This trip is not recommended for those requiring a walker, wheelchair, scooter, or need walking assistance. Sightseeing locations and activities may require long periods of walking, standing or sitting. Some locations may involve climbing stairs, have uneven or unpaved ground, have cobblestone streets, or located at higher altitudes. Premier World Discovery/Starr is not responsible for any missed activities due to a participant's inability to participate with the group.

  • Every Starr trip includes deluxe round-trip motorcoach transportation from one or more of our departure locations to the airport.

  • Services of a Tour Director will begin upon arrival in New Orleans.

  • Price includes round-trip airfare between Philadelphia or Newark Airport and New Orleans.

  • Transfers between airport and hotel are included.

  • Baggage handling at hotels is included.

  • Deposit is $425.00 per person.

  • Final payment is due by 11/24/2026

Cancellation Penalties:

  • If cancellation occurs from booking date to 9/15/26, a $25.00 per person penalty will be assessed.

  • If cancellation occurs between 9/16/26 and 11/24/26, a $425.00 per person penalty will be assessed.

  • If cancellation occurs between 11/25/26 and 12/12/26, a $1,200.00 per person penalty will be assessed.

  • If cancellation occurs between 12/13/26 and 3/14/27, the passenger is in full penalty and no refund will be granted.

*In addition to the cancellation policies listed above, if additional payments have been made to Starr for the purpose of securing your airline reservation, these monies are non-refundable once received. Any name changes after final payment is made will be assessed a per person change fee. The amount of the fee will be determined by the airline.

  • Airfare is purchased as a group. While we are happy to pass along any seating requests made at the time of booking, seat assignments are controlled by the airline and cannot be guaranteed. Your final seat assignments will be included with your trip documents, which are sent approximately two weeks prior to departure.

Day 1

Today arrive in New Orleans for a three-night stay in the exciting French Quarter. Tonight be sure to enjoy the “The Quarter” filled with fabulous restaurants and jazz clubs.

Day 2

This morning enjoy a French Quarter Walking Tour featuring the St. Louis Cathedral with adjoining Cabildo and rectory, Bourbon Street, Pirates Alley and the French Marketplace. Next visit the famous Café du Monde to enjoy café au lait and beignets. Later board a Paddlewheeler Steamboat for a relaxing Mississippi River Cruise. Tonight enjoy a Welcome Dinner at a popular French Quarter restaurant.

Day 3

Today enjoy a New Orleans City Tour. Visit the Garden District featuring one of the best preserved collections of historic southern mansions in the United States. Also stop to view an Above Ground Cemetery which are both historic & hauntingly beautiful. This afternoon visit Mardi Gras World, a fun and informative museum which brings together a dazzling collection of floats and costumes from the event. This evening enjoy dinner with your fellow travelers at the famous New Orleans School of Cooking.

Day 4

This morning travel to the capital of Louisiana, Baton Rouge. Stop at the New State Capitol Building to view the Art Deco architecture and hear stories about the state’s most famous politician, Huey Long. Then visit the Louisiana State Museum featuring thematic exhibits on the diverse aspects of Louisiana history, industry and culture. Later motorcoach into Mississippi and arrive in Natchez, a beautiful town that captures the charm and elegance of the historic south with its Antebellum Mansions. Tonight enjoy a southern experience with an Antebellum Mansion Dinner and Tour in the Natchez area.

Day 5

This morning enjoy a Natchez Area Tour to learn about the area’s amazing pre-Civil War history. Then visit another beautiful Natchez Antebellum Mansion. Later cross into Louisiana to explore fascinating Cajun Country, founded in the 18th century by French-speaking exiles from Canada. Today, the region features a unique blend of French, Creole and Caribbean influences. This afternoon enjoy an eerie Bayou Cruise, a true Louisiana experience.

Day 6

Today discover Cajun Country. First visit the Jean Lafitte Cultural Center to learn about the life of the famous pirate and unlikely patriot, and about the area’s Acadian heritage and the natural resources of Louisiana’s Mississippi Delta region. Later visit the Acadian Village, a folklife museum that offers an authentic vision of a 19th century Acadian community with many authentic homes of the era. Stroll the grounds and step back in time to experience Acadian heritage and music. Then travel to Avery Island for a Tabasco Factory Tour, home the world-famous Louisiana hot sauce. Tonight enjoy a fun-filled Farewell Dinner with Cajun
cuisine and sounds sauce. Tonight enjoy a fun-filled Farewell Dinner with Cajun cuisine and sounds.

Day 7

Today depart Lafayette and transfer to the New Orleans Airport for your flight home.
