Experience the charm of Newport on our guided tour, where you'll explore historic buildings and beautifully restored homes. Marvel at the rugged beauty of Ten-Mile Ocean Drive and admire the grandeur of the fabulous mansions lining Bellevue Avenue's tree-lined streets.

The Elms

The Elms was the summer retreat of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Julius Berwind, prominent figures from Philadelphia and New York who amassed their wealth in the Pennsylvania coal industry. In 1898, they commissioned Philadelphia architect Horace Trumbauer to design a residence inspired by the mid-18th century French chateau d'Asnieres near Paris. Completed in 1901 at a cost of about $1.4 million, The Elms was adorned by interiors and furnishings crafted by Allard and Sons of Paris, which showcased the Berwinds' extensive collection of Renaissance ceramics, 18th century French and Venetian paintings, and Oriental jades.

The estate's expansive Classical Revival gardens, developed between 1907 and 1914, boast terraces adorned with marble and bronze sculptures, a collection of specimen trees, and an opulent lower garden featuring marble pavilions, fountains, a sunken garden, and a carriage house and garage.

Olde Mistick Village

Explore the charming lanes of Olde Mistick Village, where each building captures the essence of a New England village circa 1720. Wander amidst picturesque flower gardens, tranquil tree-lined paths, and serene duck ponds that create a peaceful atmosphere for relaxation.

The shopkeepers pride themselves on offering you some of the most interesting and unique items from around the world. Feeling hungry? Olde Mistick Village is home to some of Mystic's best restaurants.

Numerous benches and rest areas invite you to pause, rejuvenate, and soak in the beauty of the surroundings, transporting your thoughts to a bygone era.

Newport Harbor Cruise

Enjoy the City-by-the-Sea's most amazing and enjoyable cruise abord the Amazing Grace! Experience the breathtaking sights of Historic Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay, including the iconic Newport Bridge, picturesque Rose Island, majestic Fort Adams, and the storied mansions set against stunning bay vistas and invigorating sea breezes.

Operated by Oldport Marine Harbor Tours, the 1-hour narrated cruise showcases Newport at its picture-perfect best. Marvel at close-up views of lighthouses, America's Cup yachts, and elegant estates along the shoreline.

Choose between indoor or outdoor seating on the ship's two spacious decks, each offering spectacular views. Afterward, unwind with a refreshment or snack from the full-service bar as you soak in the maritime charm of Newport.
