Experience the magic of the Quebec Winter Carnival, an annual celebration that transforms Quebec City into a winter wonderland like no other. With nearly one million participants, it has earned the distinction of being the largest winter festival in the world. Bonhomme (which means "good man" in English) is the official ambassador of the festivities, a large snowman sporting a red cap, black buttons and a ceinture flechee. Activities include the snow bath, night parades, slide runs, outdoor cinema, giant table-soccer game, concerts, snow sculptures, Ice Tower, skating and much more! Please note no special access will be available for the mobility impaired because all sites will be outside. Nonetheless, to ensure security and site access, snow and ice will be cleared from all routes to the different activities. Restrooms will be available but are limited.
Experience the wonder of the Hotel de Glace, where nature's magic meets architectural marvels in a Nordic event like no other. Marvel at the grandeur of our icy chandelier that sets the tone in the main lobby, just one of the many stunning features that have made Hotel de Glace famous. Explore their 36 rooms and themed suites, each adorned with breathtaking ice sculptures. Wander through the galleries and exhibitions at the Nordic Arts and Life Festival and gaze upon one-of-a-kind ice paintings. Discover the secrets behind the creation of this ice hotel and the unique experience of spending a night within its frosty walls. Take a thrilling ride down the popular ice slide, perfect for visitors of all ages. Step into the enchanting ice chapel, a magical setting where couples exchange vows each year. Round out your tour in the Ice Bar with a cocktail in one of their famous ice glasses.
Step into the past at 'Erabliere Le Chemin du Roy,' a quintessential sugar shack dating back to the 1920s that exudes authenticity at every turn. Whether you're seeking a traditional meal, a rustic dining experience, or simply a place to gather with loved ones, this charming establishment is the perfect choice. Guests will enjoy a personalized greeting with a presentation of the sugar shack, a typical Quebecois all-you-can-eat meal and maple taffy on snow - an iconic Canadian treat! Visit the souvenir shop showcasing items from Quebec and Canada and various maple products such as maple syrup, maple butter and many others. Handicapped accessible
