Explore the historic sites and byways where George Washington and the Continental Army reversed a losing streak, winning three battles in ten crucial days. Led by a leading expert on the American Revolution in New Jersey, youll look over the banks of the Delaware River, where thousands of troops, horses, and canons crossed on a wintry night, and youll explore battlefields in Trenton and Princeton, where Washington rallied his troops for surprise victories over British and Hessian soldiers. Our December trip will include the extra excitement of seeing hundreds of reenactors rehearse the crossing of the Delaware. Specific sites include Washington Crossing Park, Site of the 1st Battle of Trenton Monument, Old Barracks Museum, 2nd Battle of Trenton Battlefield at Mill Hill Park, Princeton Battlefield State Park, and Princeton Battle Monument.
Immerse yourself in the highlights of Princeton, the site of a crucial Revolutionary Battle and the new nations first capital. After, enjoy time on your own in this great university town where you can explore at your own pace. Stroll through Princetons picturesque campus, browse the charming shopping district, or visit the historic grave of Aaron Burr. With so many unique spots to discover, you can shape your time in town however youd like. Well offer shuttle service between Princeton and the hotel, giving you the freedom to enjoy dinner at your choice of local restaurants, including many that feature fresh, farm-to-table cuisine.
On our October and November tours, youll visit Abma's Barnyard Zoo in Hillsborough, NJ, where youll meet a variety of farm animals and see firsthand how they grow produce, hay, and straw, and raise their own livestock and chickens. For our December trip, well visit Hidden Spring Lavender and Alpaca Farm. Enjoy the chance to feed the alpacas and browse unique holiday gifts in their charming farm shop.

Enjoy a guided tour of the farm, then roll up your sleeves for a hands-on cheese-making lesson led by award-winning artisan cheesemakers.
Hopewell Valley Vineyards is a winery dedicated to the creation of handcrafted wines by blending Old World traditions with New World flair. Enjoy brick oven pizzas named for wines, and a private wine tasting led by the owner of Hopewell Valley Vineyards, near the quaint Borough of Pennington.
Youd be hard pressed to find a more charming American town than quaint Hopewell Borough, complete with a historic Victorian-era train station across the street from Aunt Chubbys Luncheonette, where well enjoy our first meal of the trip. It may look like a local lunch joint, but Aunt Chubbys also is a top-notch farm-to-table restaurant serving fresh, local ingredients while serving as a community gathering place.
Travelers will order off a special lunch menu with soup, sandwiches, burgers and quiche, plus dessert from a sumptuous selection. Also included are soft drinks, coffee, and tea.
Dinner will be served buffet-style and features salad, vegetables, potatoes, herb-stuffed chicken breast, and stuffed shells. Also included are dessert, coffee, tea, and soda.
Lunch is served buffet-style and includes salad, bread, chicken, meatballs or roast beef, pasta, vegetables, cookies, and soft drinks.
Our final lunch will be a vineyard-made brick oven pizza and a wine tasting at Hopewell Valley Vineyards, which takes advantage of the excellent soil and growing conditions of the Garden State near the charming Borough of Pennington.

The Chauncey Hotel & Conference Center is a state-of-the-art full-service hotel on former farmland, surrounded by wide open space, walking trails, and the beauty of Central Jersey. The large lobby area includes a roaring fireplace and a casual bar area to enable friendly conversations. Hotel features a fitness center, indoor pool, complimentary parking and WIFI. Bar opens nightly from 4 to 10pm. Guest rooms feature a patio or balcony, mini-fridge, iron/board, coffee maker, and are smoke-free.
