Welcome to the Front Porch Tea Room located in the quaint Town of Hallam, nestled among the rolling hills of Pennsylvania. Visit the Victorian home atop a hill in the center of town. Built in 1869 by the sheriff of York County, Samuel Ruby, it started as 2-1/2-story log home with lots of charm and history. Inside you can still see one of the log walls. Surrounded by large old trees and flower gardens with a quaint front porch, step back in time and leave the hustle and bustle of the modern world behind. At the Tea Room you can take a step back to an era where manners and civility were common. Inside this Victorian Tea Room you will feel pampered as you relax in an atmosphere of elegance. This is one place where you are never rushed. Each table is covered in linens and lace then set properly with antique dishes, linen napkins, and crystal goblets.

Turkey Hill Taste Lab

At the Turkey Hill Experience Taste Lab, create your very own custom ice cream in this hands-on experience for ice cream enthusiasts! Begin with a creamy vanilla base and customize it with your choice of flavorings, adding just the right amount to suit your taste. Enhance your creation with a variety of delicious mix-ins and finish it off with your favorite syrup. Don’t worry if it’s not perfect on the first try; you can tweak your masterpiece until it’s just right! While your ice cream sets, enjoy a fun "Ice Cream 101" class led by an instructor, rounding out this unique and tasty experience.

Lunch on day one is included at The Front Porch Tea Room

Lunch includes house salad, scones (sweet & savory), choice of soup, finger sandwiches, and dessert. Hot & iced tea are included.

 

Dinner on day one is included at Lavendar Acres Winery. Choices are:

• Chicken Piccata

• Salmon-stuffed with feta spinach and tomato  

• Beef Bourguignon 

Dinner is served with salad, mixed vegetables, roasted potatoes, and apple crisp for dessert. Soft drinks, coffee, and hot tea are included along with a glass of wine.

Need to Know:      

• Every Starr trip includes deluxe round-trip motorcoach transportation from one or more of our departure locations.

• Baggage handling services are not available at the hotel; guests will need to manage their own luggage during their stay.

 

Accessibility:

• Shear Heaven Alpaca Farm is handicapped accessible. The tour includes a combination of paved areas and hard, flat dirt paths. Guests using walkers should have no difficulty navigating the farm.

• Front Porch Tea Room: The restrooms are located on the second floor and require climbing one flight of stairs with a handrail.

• Starr has a select quantity of wheelchair accessible motorcoaches available; therefore, we suggest you contact a Travel Advisor to discuss any needs you may have before reserving your trip.

Heritage Hills Golf Resort (York, PA)

The hotel features an off-site fitness room. Guest rooms include a coffee maker, mini-fridge, microwave, hair dryer, and iron/board. Please note, there is no baggage handling available.
