From October 1 to March 31, this ritual occurs hourly; from April 1 to September 30, it doubles, with additional ceremonies every half-hour until 7 p.m.

Smithsonian Museum Security Policy: All items, including handbags and backpacks, will be subject to search upon entry to each museum.
Arlington Cemetery security policy: For all visitors aged 16 and older, a valid state or government-issued photo identification is required for entry. Visitors aged 16 and 17 may use a school-issued identification. Non-U.S. citizens must present a valid passport or U.S. State Department-issued photo identification. At the main entrance, all pedestrians will undergo screening at the Welcome Center.
Arlington Cemetery Tram: On-demand service is available for individuals who can transfer from their wheelchair and manage a 2 or 3 steps. Vehicles used on all ANC Tours are equipped with priority seating and wheelchair storage. For those individuals who require a chair lift, advance notice is required to better assist you. Please be aware that the cemetery does not offer wheelchairs or strollers; if you require these, you will need to bring your own. Kindly note that this tour involves considerable walking.
