This museum is home to the world’s largest operating collection of Stanley steam cars, along with a working 1916 electric car, a 1914 Model T, and two 1930s Packards. Visitors will also enjoy the Auburn Valley Railroad, featuring 1/8th-size coal-fired steam trains that circle the 456-acre parkland. It’s a fascinating journey through automotive history set within a beautifully preserved natural park land.

The Wilmington & Western Railroad’s Autumn Leaf Excursion offers a scenic journey through Delaware’s historic Red Clay Valley, a region rich in rail history dating back to 1867. This vintage train ride allows passengers to step back in time while surrounded by the vibrant colors of fall. Choose between two exciting excursions, each providing stunning views of the Red Clay Valley’s autumn splendor. A 90-minute round-trip ride takes you to the tranquil Mt. Cuba Picnic Grove for a 30-minute layover along the banks of Red Clay Creek, or you can stay on the train to continue exploring the area’s breathtaking fall foliage. It’s the perfect way to experience Delaware’s natural beauty during the peak of the season.

Lunch is included at Big Fish Grill Riverfront. Choices are:

• Grilled Three Cheese Panini: bacon, tomato, provolone, cheddar, and Swiss cheeses with fries.

• Flash Fried Cod Sandwich: cod tenders with lettuce, tomato, pickle on a brioche bun with fries.

• Buffalo Chicken Sandwich: chicken tenders, homemade blue cheese, on a brioche bun with fries.

• Homemade Soup (TBD) & Salad Combo.

Lunch includes Key Lime Pie for dessert along with soda, coffee, and freshly brewed iced tea.

The Wilmington Western Railroad is not wheelchair or walker accessible, as passengers need to walk onto the train with three steps up. However, a lift is available for assistance, and wheelchairs and walkers can be left at the station.
