Explore the Charlestown Navy Yard, managed by the National Parks Service, where you can see the historic USS Constitution, known as Old Ironsides, and the USS Cassin Young. Launched on October 21, 1797, the USS Constitution is the oldest commissioned warship afloat and is currently manned by an active-duty U.S. Navy crew. At the Constitution Visitor's Center, you'll find memorabilia and gifts, while the Constitution Museuma private, non-profit establishmentfeatures a theater, over 3,000 historical artifacts, and interactive exhibits. Self-guided tours of the USS Cassin Young, a World War II Navy destroyer, are also available.
