Coast Guard Beach on the National Seashore at Cape Cod

Spend some time relaxing at Coast Guard Beach, letting your toes sink into the soft sand. As the southernmost beach managed by Cape Cod National Seashore, Coast Guard Beach marks the beginning of what Henry David Thoreau famously called the "Great Beach"—a stunning, uninterrupted stretch of sandy coastline that extends north for over 20 miles. During the summer season, it’s a top destination for swimming and soaking up the sun.

John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum

Visit the John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum to explore the enduring legacy of President Kennedy and his deep connection to Cape Cod. Hyannis Port, often called the “heart and home” of the Kennedy family, was where JFK found solace and joy amidst the pressures of leadership. The museum captures the spirit of the Camelot years through evocative images and stories, offering a glimpse into the Summer White House days of the 1960s when the Kennedys brought joy and hope to the nation.

JFK Memorial

The John F. Kennedy Memorial, located on Ocean Street near Veteran's Park Beach, is a serene stone monument overlooking the scenic Lewis Bay, a cherished sailing and fishing spot of the Kennedy family. This peaceful site invites reflection on JFK’s enduring legacy and offers a perfect opportunity to pay tribute to one of America’s most beloved presidents while taking in the picturesque views of the bay.

Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute

Explore the scenic village of Woods Hole and discover the fascinating history and groundbreaking research of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI). Founded in 1930, WHOI is dedicated to advancing our understanding of the ocean and its vital connection to the Earth. Guided tours provide an insightful look into the institution’s scientific and engineering achievements, as well as its role in addressing global challenges, all while showcasing its deep ties to the heart of this vibrant village.

Hyannis Harbor Cruise

The best way to take in the beauty and charm of Hyannis is from the water. Relax aboard a Hyannis Harbor Cruise and enjoy stunning views as our guide shares fascinating (and sometimes humorous) stories about the area's maritime history, the people who shaped its waterfront community, and its most iconic landmarks. Learn about local sites such as Great Island, the Kennedy Memorial, St. Andrews-by-the-Sea, Squaw Island, Point Gammon Light, and the historic Kennedy Compound in Hyannisport.

Guided Cape Cod Sightseeing Tour

Explore Cape Cod’s rich history and stunning coastal landscapes on this captivating sightseeing tour. Begin in Hyannis, the hub of the Cape, where the bustling business district and the historic charm of Hyannisport tell the story of the Kennedy family’s enduring legacy. Continue to Centerville, known as the “Village of Beaches,” where pristine shores like Craigville, Long Beach, and Covell’s Beach await. Don’t miss a stop at the historic Four Seas Ice Cream, a local favorite for generations. Journey on to Osterville, home to historic boatbuilding traditions, including the famous Wianno Senior sailboats favored by JFK, and serene views of the town’s oyster flats.

Discover the charm of Cotuit, often called the “Harvard of the Cape,” a retreat for Cambridge professors, and home to vibrant cultural attractions like the Cahoon Museum and Performing Arts Center. Travel through Marston Mills, a quaint farming village with scenic cranberry bogs, before exploring the historic significance of Barnstable Harbor, known for its revolutionary roots and vibrant fishing and whale-watching scene. Visit Barnstable Village, the county seat, steeped in history with its centuries-old graveyards. End your tour in Sandwich, Cape Cod’s oldest town, with visits to the fascinating Glass Museum and Cape Cod Canal Visitor Center, before enjoying a delicious lunch at Seafood Sam’s.

Sandwich Glass Museum

Sandwich Glass Museum is a must-see destination for anyone interested in the art and science of glassmaking. With exhibits spanning over three centuries of glassmaking history, you’ll discover the beauty and versatility of this incredible material like never before.

Step back in time as you explore the museum’s galleries, filled with beautifully crafted glass pieces from local artisans.

Watch live glassblowing demonstrations every hour on the hour, and learn about the various techniques used to create these stunning works of art.

Olde Mistick Village

Olde Mistick Village is much more than just a shopping destination; it’s a charming experience that transports you back in time. Stroll through the beautifully recreated 18th-century village, where you’ll find a delightful array of unique shops offering custom gifts, locally-made souvenirs, and one-of-a-kind treasures. Enjoy a variety of dining options, from cozy cafes to gourmet restaurants, all set within this picturesque setting.
